Tirol’s scintillating Jewel: Since its opening back in 1995, Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens tops the list of Austria’s most-visited attractions. Visitors from every corner of the world have walked through these portals, yet few have experienced anything like the Swarovski Crystal Worlds before.
The dazzling crystalline world was created by Austrian artist André Heller to mark the 100th anniversary of Swarovski Company. A giant’s head, spewing water into a pond greets you at this fantastical playground, which is set in its own spacious grounds, an amazing wonderland of gardens.
The crowning feature of the delightful gardens is the Crystal Cloud that floats above a black Mirror Pool—this mystical masterpiece is bedecked with 800,000 hand-mounted Swarovski crystals and is a marvellous sight to behold. Excitement will be shining in children’s eyes as well: An exhilarating Play Tower fosters a wide range of playing experiences on four vertically arranged levels – creating an innovative experience of space where even floating will seem possible. Inside the iconic giant’s head, you’ll find a subterranean labyrinth of 17 crystalline chambers of wonder that astonish and amuse its viewers with exciting, intricate, colourful, and surprising installations. And as they are constantly changing, they have something new to amaze people with on every visit. Year-round, Swarovski Crystal Worlds provide a glittering backdrop to an array of outstanding events.
